About Dyers Edge

The Dyer's Edge has been in business since 1994. I currently sell hand dyed and painted fabrics, hand dyed threads for embellishment.  I've used a range of cottons for different effects (see FAQ) in the items listed for sale here, but sometimes include limited silks, corduroys, upholstery fabrics or polyesters at shows for art quilters and dressmakers. I teach classes in dyeing at your location or mine.  Contact me for specifics via phone or email (see bottom of page for contact information.

For those who would like to dye or paint fabric I offer books that I have found helpful, and other items that may help you in your work. 

Orders will generally be filled within 1-2 weeks, depending on availability and my show/class schedule. Special orders will be considered on an individual basis and may require a 25% non-refundable deposit. If you require a fabric similar to my normal stock, but in a different color, I will wave the special order deposit if it is something that would be resalable if returned.

Returns may be made for a full refund less shipping charges within 2 weeks of receipt provided that they are in their original condition.  Please email me with a tracking number (insurance recommended).

For those of you who know my work, you will recognize that this site does not reflect the full scope of the fabrics that I produce. They will be available at my studio and at quilt shows that I am vending, or you may want to order them by calling or ending email.  My most popular items, like the Shibori garden pieces in different color ranges, striated fabrics, hand painted or oxidated pieces will generally be available even when not shown here.
